Concrete Castle

Fischer & el Sani’s visionary sculpture “Concrete Castle” is a  raw concrete body of the future reconstructed Berlin castle, which—through bankruptcy—ends up as an unfinished ruin covered by a big sand dune. It serves as a perfect memorial to the absurd political decisions that have determined the Castle’s fate since the 1950s, and as an open public forum, implicating to be reclaimed by other groups like refugees and their need for space to live.
